When real life is better than the movies

So I'm kind of a sap, but I wanted to share this video. In it is Timothy Tiah, co-founder of Nuffnang, proposing to his girlfriend, Audrey Ooi (better known in the Malaysian blogosphere as Fourfeetnine). It is adorable, though you have to know your memes to understand it. (Bonus Internet points for you if you know which meme Timothy used wrongly.)

It's ironic that I'm so all over this, because here's something I tweeted just last night:

But, you know, it was a really cute and quirky proposal, so all is forgiven. I don't know if it was the memes or their expressions or the adorableness of everything or just the proposal in general, but I watched it three times in the span of twenty minutes and cried each time. I'd never seen a real life proposal before. This might actually be better than the ones in the movies!

Have a look. Prepare tissues if you're a sap as well.

Look at the way Timothy was smiling! He was so nervous! Aaaah! Also, the sobbing friend during 4:41? That was basically me throughout almost the whole video. It was so cute!

The song used in the video is Christina Perri's A Thousand Years. Ms. Perri herself has watched the video, and here's what she had to say about it:

Aww. Sometimes real life really is better than the movies.
