Post-production blues

Things have been pretty slow since the musical. A little over a week ago, there was so much going on and so much to do and so many things to worry about; now, it's like, 'Oh, hey, I should be studying'. Bummer.

This is how dumb I am. I'd rather draw Mr. Men-esque smilies on Paint than study.

In January, I'll be sitting for a total of eight papers. (It sounds like a lot, but the other Science kids who're taking Physics will be sitting for more.) I think I need to wake up and realise that my future depends on these results. I mean, it depends on a lot of other things too, but, you know, that thought might be sufficiently scary to make me really hit the books. These past few days, I've been finding other, more interesting things to do than study -- read, make granola bars (new addiction, hey), eat granola bars (well, this is the new addiction, really), sleep, and religiously visit fuckyeahmedicalstuff almost every day.

For those not in the know, it's a Tumblr thing, 'fuckyeah[what Tumblog is devoted to]'. So, for example, fuckyeahmedicalstuff is chock-full of little snippets and pictures you may find disturbing, while fuckyeahdamianmcginty is full of adorable. That sound about right?

Damo singing Buachaill on Eirne. The lighting matches his eyes exactly!

I'm going through the former again, and, uh, it really isn't for everyone. It's not that it's bloody and gory or whatever, but there're a lot of post-mortem/autopsy pics, as well as diseased body parts. A description of one of the pictures: 'In this case, death was caused by the complete compression of the thorax by a rolling mill, which caused massive hemorrhaging in the face, due to the blood being pushed upwards.' So...yeah. If you think stuff like that will freak you out, don't go there.

I would honestly rather stay on there all night than sleep, though. I think it's my new favourite site.

P.S. Anyone like to read my book review on The Boy In the Striped Pajamas?
