For those of you who don't yet know, students who scored 8A+ and above in last year's SPM will be getting JPA scholarships. I am one of these people. Results will be out on Monday, and I am, suffice to say, nervous -- the results of my scholarship application may well change my life!
It looks like I'll be getting a scholarship for sure, but the big question is for what course. Medicine is the hardest and most expensive course there is, but a hugely popular choice despite these. Since Form Four, I've been told over and over again that getting the JPA scholarship for Medicine would be akin to striking the lottery, and who wouldn't want that? It'd be great to be studying under a scholarship -- my parents wouldn't have to save and scrimp like crazy, and the possibility of losing my scholarship would be a serious motivational boost to study if I needed one.
Medicine is the only thing I want to do, and have ever wanted to do. (That extremely brief period of time during which I wanted to be a dolphin trainer -- I was like four! -- is negligible.) You can call me picky all you like, but if I get a scholarship for Pharmacy or Biochemistry or whatever else, I'm not going to take it. It can go to other people out there who actually want to do those courses.
So yeah, this is just a quick post, maybe to vent a little. I'm nervous, okay! Fingers crossed till Monday, 5.00 p.m. See you guys.
