Every time I see or hear the word 'masquerade', I hear (in my head) opera singers singing "MASQUERADE! Paperfacesonparade!" with much gusto. It's a song from the musical The Phantom of the Opera. I've never watched it, but my parents have the soundtrack, which I tried listening to in an attempt to broaden my musical tastes.
But anyway, that's not the point of this post. In a little while, I'm going to get ready to go for Samad Leo's IR Night, themed 'Masquerade' this year. Timothy's organising it, and I have friends who're performing. ICC on a smaller scale, I guess.
Also, Sze Li's coming! I haven't seen her in forever, miss her soso much. It's gonna be good times tonight, hopefully.
I wish I had a mask to wear, though! These are so pretty!
Heard they'll be selling masks there, but I'm not sure how far that's true. The masks they prepared for the BOD are really pretty as well, the only drawback being a glittery face once you take it off. I speak from firsthand experience.
Anyway, will blog about it when I get back. Looks like it's gonna rain right now, which...kind of spells disaster for everyone.
Oh, dear. *winces*
