We are family

You know what really makes me happy? Like, little kid, yay-I-belong happy? People thinking that my pet brothers are my biological brothers, even though we look nothing alike. (:

Take, for instance, that one time at Scrabble Club when Munzir and NichoSim were still with us. I call NichoSim kor kor, because, well, he is my kor kor. Munzir heard this and thought that he really was my older brother (for those who don't know, 'kor kor' is the term Chinese younger siblings use to call/refer to their older brothers). He thought my name was Sim Hui Jan, ahaha.

And then today. Aaron semi-introduced me to a friend of his: "Hey, meet my sister." A little later, she asked me if I really was Aaron's sister, since people know he only has a brother. I had to say no, but I laughed.

It's just...I don't know. It's hard to explain, 'cause I don't even know what this is. I love my brothers a lot, I guess. Biological or not. Hee.

P.S. You did well, big bro. You did. Congratulations. (:

  1. I REALLY like your essay. It reads easily, and flows well, and I particularly like your sense of humour.

    You know right, once, someone mistook me and my brother for twins, cause we were both sitting on the floor in a department store while mum shopped. Then when we stood up and the height difference became obvious, she was like "Oh you're not twins!" I dunno how this fits into people thinking that you're your pet brother's biological sister, but well. XD

    YOU AND CHUAN LI DO NOT LOOK LIKE TWINS. Gosh. Hey hey, he's growing, isn't he? He might get to be taller than you. (;
